The ‘Bloody’ Benders did in fact exist, did in fact kill many people (with hammers) who came to stay at their home then buried them on the place and oh yes, did I mention they got away with it? What you won’t expect in this novella is the awkward love story that unfolds between the main characters, one highly irritating and the other totally exasperated.
